Amazon has just announced their latest free application known as Kindle for Android, where it will enable folks worldwide to enjoy their digital tomes right from the comfort of their respective Android-powered devices. This free app will be arriving this summer, where Kindle for Android enables customers to discover and read from more than 540,000 books that are currently available in the Kindle Store (with more to come, of course), making it the largest selection of the most popular books that people want to read at the moment, ranging from New York Times Bestsellers and New Releases that will retail from $9.99 onwards. Similar to all other Kindle apps, Kindle for Android will come with Amazon's Whispersync technology that helps save and synchronize a customer's bookmarks across their Kindle, Kindle DX, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, PC, Mac, BlackBerry and, of course, Android, letting you have your reading material all the while without losing its place.
